From Medals to Toffee Tins
A History of Hearts in 150 Memorabilia Objects
Gary Cowen

From Medals to Toffee Tins celebrates the 150th anniversary of Heart of Midlothian - Edinburgh's oldest and most successful football club - by examining its long and varied history through the unique lens of 150 memorabilia objects. This lavishly illustrated book charts triumphs of the trophy-laden golden periods of the 1890s and 1950s, the glory of the players who went to war in 1914 and more recent Scottish Cup successes, as well as the great teams and legendary players from every era of the club's history. The story is told through every type of Hearts memorabilia imaginable, including medals, caps, programmes, tickets, badges, menus and photographs, as well as more unusual items such as boots, scarves, lamps, ceramic tiles and the toffee tin of the title. In this digital age, preserving history through tangible items has never been more important, and Hearts fans will love this beautifully presented showcase of the memorabilia of their favourite club.
