That’s the problem that faces us every year when the Sportsview team compiles the Sportsview book of Soccer. There’s not another sport in the world like football for providing thrills, news and personalities. And what a year it’s been, for Tottenham — the League Championship and the Cup, the coveted Double, which hasn’t been achieved since 1897. Young players have come to the top — some of our old friends have retired from the game, but they’re all here in this Sportsview Book of Soccer, and I know you’ll enjoy reading about them.
The Sportsview Soccer Quiz will set quite a number of teasers for you, but all the answers are there if you can’t manage them without help. If you like quizzes, by the way, there’s another one in the other B B C sporting book, David Coleman’s Grandstand Book of All Sport. And it really is a ﬁne annual, which I really recommend one hundred per cent.
