Jim Smith played for Sheffield United, Aldershot, Halifax Town and Lincoln city. He was a player-manager at Boston United and has managed at Colchester United, Blackburn Rovers, Birmingham City, Oxford United, QPR, Newcastle United and Portsmouth.
