Queens Park Rangers

通常価格 £17.50

Are you? a family member or an ancestor in one of the 100's of photos?

This fascinating hook illustrates the history of Queens Park Rangers with a fine selection of over 200 photographs, programmes and other memorabilia that bring to life the ups and downs of the club during the past 10 years.
The early years were spent in the Southern League, where the club were very successful, winning two championships. Following election to the Football League in 1920, they then tried for twenty years to gain promotion to Division Two, but the best they could manage was third place on three occasions. At last, in 1948, under the leadership of Dave Mangnall, they finally made it and spent four years in Division Two before dropping down again in 1952. A further fifteen years were then spent in the lower flight But all that changed in 1964 when Jim Gregory joined the hoard and eventually became chairman. During an extraordinary period, the club won the League Cup at Wenthley-', gained promotion in two successive seasons, and went on in l996 to be the runners-up in the First Division of the Football League. Some great players were signed, such as Rodney Marsh, Stan Bowles and Phil Parkes, not to mention a fine crop of youth players, some of who would eventually receive international recognition Gerry Francis, who went on to captain England, was one such product of the eluh. European football followed, as did further appearances in Wembley Cup finals.
This Queens Park Rangers history, which Tony Williamson has been a lifelong supporter of, will appeal to both older and younger fans who are just starting to show an interest in the team.
