Arsenal The Complete Record
by Josh James, Andy Kelly, and Mark AndrewsFred Ollie

Arsenal: The Complete Record is the authoritative narrative of one of English football's pioneering institutions, fully updated with details from the 2017/18 season. Josh James, Andy Kelly, and Mark Andrews compiled an exhaustive research that covers every game, campaign, player, and manager in Arsenal's history. The club, founded by munitions workers in Woolwich in 1886, relocated from south-east London to Highbury in the capital's north in 1913 and established itself as one of the game's giants with the appointment of the renowned Herbert Chapman in 1925. The team won an extraordinary five league titles in the 1930s, two before Chapman's untimely death in 1934 and three more under the guidance of Joe Shaw and George Allen. Other famous managers followed: Bertie Mee won the club's first league and cup double in 1971, while George Graham, a former player, won two league titles, a cup double, and the European Cup Winners Cup in the 1980s and 1990s. When Arsène Wenger took over in 1996, he shifted the focus from defence to attack, and his magnificent Arsenal teams exemplified the Premier League's revolutionary impact on English football. His reign began with two league and cup doubles, followed by an undefeated season in 2003/04 led by Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp, and Patrick Viera. Arsenal became the most successful club in FA Cup history in 2017 with their twelfth win, with Wenger remaining in charge. This record chronicles every moment of one of English football's most historic names from 1886, including season-by-season summaries of each campaign, player profiles, and every imaginable detail of the Gunners' legendary history. This is a must-have for any Arsenal fan's collection.
